The Real Ting (Victorian edition)

The sculpture imitates Victorian infrastructure mixed with a Roman capital.
Within the framework of ‘Artificial Realism’, the artist creates ‘physical renders,’ combining digital fabrication with analogue processes to translate the logic of 3D modeling into deceptive, hollow surfaces stripped of mass and function. These works play on the Victorian obsession with the ‘authentic fake’—the belief that mechanical processes could produce a reality more perfect than the original.
